Biomass: A research made on the water creatures recorded that by 2017 the population growth of the crabs had grown from the intended 215 million to about 254 million crabs in the water. To the surprise of the researchers, they even went ahead and realized that a significant number of the population was made of the female species and a small number was made of the male species. The number was a bit higher than the expected turn out.

A recent assessment was completed back in the year 2011, that was based on the idea of increasing the total population of the fish. Majority purpose though is for commercial use as they are considered to be an excellent source of income. You should be careful when looking for the crabs at the seasons where they tend to be many, as they tend to be extinct in areas with a much ample cover.
